Banner ads are one of the mainstays of website promotion.
Although the industry standard is only about a 3% click-through rate they are still an essential part of promotion on the Web.
There are free banner exchange programs and also programs to put your banner in rotation on many sites for a fee. Individual sites will also sell you banner space to display your ad.
Depending on the nature of your site, it can be a good idea to contact related sites in order to trade banners. Choose carefully as you donīt want to send your business to someone else. If your business is landscaping you donīt want to trade with other landscapers but perhaps a lawn fertilization, or even a household cleaning service might be appropriate.

One banner with no animation is $40.00.
Three banners with no animation is $100.00, this is the preferred option as it allows you to change banners to keep them fresh.
Animated banners are of course, more complicated. The following rates represent starting prices.
