As you have noticed, the plug-in version provides the fastest download time, the smoothest performance, and enhanced features such as the improved zoom. The trade-off is that it requires your visitors to have the Viewer plug-in installed on their browser. It is a free plug-in and takes only minutes to download and install itself, however the less web-savvy of your visitors may be reluctant to get it. The solution of course, is to offer both versions like I have done. Yes there is an additional cost, however since I can use the original photos to produce both versions, the photography costs will not be doubled.
